Your day begins with coffee. The chef demonstrates each dish in turn then you will cook your dish at your own cooking station. The chef is always on hand to assist. You cook the first dish and sit down and eat it and then get up again to cook the next dish and then sit down and eat that. And so on throughout the day. Water is served throughout. At the end of the day, the chef will answer any further questions. Please note it is not always possible to do some dishes and desserts individually and, in these circumstances, these dishes and desserts will be done in small groups or communally.

An apron, all ingredients, knives, pots and cooking utensils are provided. At the end of the day, you will be provided with recipes.


The Cookery School is located in the Jacobean Corsetry Building at 53 Virginia St, Glasgow G1 1TS.

This is a ground floor entrance. We are situated round the corner from Marks & Spencer in Argyle St (the same street as the M&S car park) and a minute’s walk from George Square while Queen St, Argyle St and Central Station are a few minutes walk away as are Buchanan St and St Enoch subway stations.

An NCP car park is round the corner in Glassford St and there are also car parks at the bottom of Glassford St at the St Enoch Centre.
